Building First in Faith
It is an exciting time to be the church at First Lutheran as we are literally and spiritually Building First in Faith! Since our church’s establishment in 1893, FLC has served God and our neighbor in our community, country, and world. Now we are renovating our building to make it accessible and more welcoming for all. Christian love, generosity, worship, and prayer form the foundation of our church. We begin with baptism when water is poured and God’s word is spoken. We are filled with the Holy Spirit and marked with the cross of Christ forever. Worship with Holy Communion, Christian education, and fellowship with one another builds our faith, so we can go into the world in loving service and make a positive change in Jesus’ name. It is an exciting time to be the church in the world! God wants you to be part of our journey!
Sunday Worship
Come and experience the presence of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in worship on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Our worship service celebrates the richness of our Lutheran tradition with contemporary elements incorporated into the liturgy through the use of modern language. Holy Communion is celebrated weekly.
The congregational hymns are led by our organist and come from both the Lutheran Book of Worship and With One Voice hymnal. The First Lutheran Choir sings anthems and supports our congregational singing.
We understand that physically getting to church isn’t always possible, and we are blessed to be able to offer anyone who wishes to worship the ability to do so from anywhere.
